Unstoppable Rachel
Rachel Chaikof's blog is soulfood. Her neverending coverage of children living the cochlear implant experience blows me away- remaining true to her hurricane reputation. The woman rocks, she is now an official journalist! Check this out: a Deaf woman with bilateral cis interviewing a Deaf little girl with bilateral cis! Introducing...Megan...and Rachel:
Hi Everyone! This is Megan's mom posting this message. I did not know this video existed until Rachel & Val told me about it. Megan never mentioned it. We live in Florida, about 7 miles from the beach, but we also live near the St. Johns River. Kids say the craziest things. I don't know where the "shark attack" comment came from but all I can say is "DRAMA". Megan is all about drama & of course, we are trying to change that. But how is anyone to be a typical 8-year-old these days with Hannah Montana everywhere? Yes, we love Hannah Montana and I do mean all of us. Rachel is truly remarkable & if you don't know her now, you will in the future. I always tease her & tell her to remember me when she is walking down the red carpet. Thanks Rachel for creating the video. I will look back on this in 5 years & wonder where did my little girl go.
Holy cow, that was amazing, and I am astounded that they were able to conduct the interview in such a chaotic, noisy environment, too.
Both young ladies are SUCH an inspiration, it was a pleasure to listen to both of them and to see little Megan! Ah Melissa, that wonderful strong woman you raised will always be your little girl!
Hey Jodi! Thank you for posting the video. BEWARE! I have more coming!
Good to see you here, Brandy! I LOVE your kids! If you ever need a babysitter for the weekend while you and your husband take a weekend vacation, please call me!
Hi Brandy and everyone... I'm wiped, working on a neverending translation. Brandy, Megan is a star...obviously. You've done such a good job raising her, she's beautiful. Li-Li's mom- I was amazed by the background noise, as well- I'm glad you pointed that out- I forgot *smile* Hugs to all- Love you guyz, Jodi

Brandy,
I'm wondering where my little girl went! I turned around, and she was 22... but I'm very proud of who she's become.
Megan is wonderful.
