Every so often someone with good intentions feels the need to try and reset my expectations a bit lower for the little one. Although I see no reason not to expect her to recite Shakespeare by the time she's 4 ;) -- it still gives a bit of a shake to my confidence that Li-Li can do anything she wants (except for deep sea scuba, of course). But wonderful experiences such as these give me heart -- keep them coming. Please pass on huge congratulations!!Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-854575870070704513.post-40559174439589261942009-03-20T13:31:00.000-04:002009-03-20T13:31:00.000-04:00That is the most AMAZING post I have ever read! I have tears in my eyes.

Jodi, I will write you back soon about your email this am. It gives me a lot of energy and motivation to forge ahead with the day to day things we impose on Amelia.

It's so hard to do everything for her -- but I know how important each one will be when she is John's age and we look back and say "See, at least we did everything we could for Amelia to make her the best person she can be!" And that's about all we can do, right?Debbiehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/12747481175356171210noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-854575870070704513.post-20095069592714711242009-03-20T07:14:00.000-04:002009-03-20T07:14:00.000-04:00so glad you posted this, I missed the John story, ...so glad you posted this, I missed the John story, isn't that fabulous?VBnBamahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/06188520199027370788noreply@blogger.com
